About Jiangxi
Jingdezhen has been making porcelain for more than a thousand years, and its workshops still throw, paint and fire pieces in the city whose kilns once supplied the imperial court. In the north, Lushan rises cool and cloud-wrapped above the Yangtze and Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake, where great flocks of migratory birds spend the winter. In early spring, the Huizhou-style villages of Wuyuan sit in seas of yellow rapeseed.
