Luzhou 泸州Lúzhōu
Baijiu cellars, a dragon-carved Ming bridge and old market towns

About Luzhou
Luzhou grew up as a port where the Tuo River flows into the Yangtze, and it is known across China as the 'Liquor City': at Luzhou Laojiao Old Cellars, fermentation pits dug in 1573 are still in use, and Gulin County distils Lang baijiu. Beyond the distilleries, Yaoba Ancient Town keeps its Ming and Qing streets, the Qu Family Manor is a fortified Qing estate of 48 courtyards, and Longnao Bridge rests on piers carved as dragons, lions and elephants.
