About Longnao Bridge

A stone beam bridge built in the late 14th century, early in the Ming dynasty, that crosses the Jiuqu River on 12 piers; the middle eight are carved into large dragons, qilin, lions and elephants, heads facing upstream. It is the best known of Luxian's carved 'dragon bridges', a wider group of Ming and Qing bridges across the county that is also nationally listed, and it now stands within the Longqiao Culture Eco-park.
