About Qifeng Aqueduct

Two stone arched aqueducts built between 1973 and 1978 to carry irrigation water across the valleys around Qifeng town as part of the Sanxikou reservoir scheme. The larger Huafeng Aqueduct runs for 1,122 metres on 47 main arches and stands up to 43 metres high, while the 1-km Shengli Aqueduct carries a footway beneath its water channel. Both are still used for irrigation and by people crossing on foot.
