About Yanqing Temple
A small temple in Shanwen village whose Jin-dynasty main hall, the Great Buddha Hall, is the only original building left; the other halls were rebuilt in recent years. The hall has three bays under a hipped-gable roof with very wide eaves, few columns inside, and oblique bracket arms that are unusual in a building of this size. The hall no longer holds its original statues, and the lower part of a Song-dynasty sutra pillar dated 1035 stands in the front courtyard.
