About The Mills
The Mills is the former Nan Fung Textiles cotton-spinning complex in Tsuen Wan, where operations ceased in 2008, and it reopened in 2018 as a mix of arts, shops and start-up space. Its CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) holds exhibitions and programmes on the textile industry, and the Shopfloor has independent and artisanal shops. The conservation project received a 2019 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for New Design in Heritage Contexts.
