About Fat Tat Tong, Ha Wo Hang

A two-storey Hakka family house built in 1933 by a trust of the four sons of Li To-wan, who had gone to Vietnam to earn a living before returning to Ha Wo Hang. Its long pitched tiled roof, colonnaded verandahs on both floors and ornamental parapet with a rolling-cloud pediment show the eclectic style favoured by returned overseas Chinese in the early twentieth century. It is still lived in by Li To-wan's descendants.

How to get to Fat Tat Tong, Ha Wo Hang

A private home in Ha Wo Hang, about 3.2 km south-west of Sha Tau Kok town; the Antiquities and Monuments Office lists it as temporarily closed and says it is still lived in by Li To-wan's descendants, so only the exterior can be seen, from the village.
