About Guangdong Science Center

Opened in 2008 at the western tip of Xiaoguwei Island, the Guangdong Science Center is a large hands-on science museum whose ship-shaped building was certified by Guinness World Records in 2018 as the largest science centre by indoor floor area. Its permanent galleries cover physics experiments, transport, materials, digital technology, flight and space, and green living, with a children's area, several special-format cinemas including an IMAX and a dome theatre, and an outdoor science park beside a lake.
