About Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort
Chimelong is a large privately run resort in Panyu that grew from a safari park opened in 1997 and now combines the Chimelong Paradise amusement park, Chimelong Safari Park, a water park, a bird park and the indoor Chimelong International Circus with several hotels. The safari park is toured partly by open-sided train or car and partly on foot, and keeps giant pandas, including triplets born there in 2014, while Chimelong Paradise has more than 60 attractions, including several large roller coasters. It suits families, and seeing the main parks takes two days or more.
How to get to Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort
In Panyu District about 20 km south of central Guangzhou; shuttle buses run to the parks from Hanxi Changlong station on Metro Lines 3 and 7.
