About Xishuangbanna Primeval Forest Park

A forest park created on about 25,000 mu (some 1,700 hectares) of tropical valley rainforest in the Caiyanghe area east of Jinghong, described as the closest primeval forest to the city. Paths lead through the forest, but the park is developed for tour groups, with a staged show in which hundreds of peacocks are released to fly over a lake, an Aini (Hani) village and song-and-dance performances.
