About Shuijingfang Distillery Site

The remains of a baijiu distillery worked from the Ming and Qing dynasties, found in 1998 when a Chengdu liquor plant was rebuilding, with drying floors from three periods, eight fermentation pits and stoves. It was named one of China's top ten archaeological discoveries of 1999 and is on the country's World Heritage tentative list with other old baijiu workshops. The site is shown in the Shuijingfang Museum, which is still a working distilling workshop.
