About National Museum of Chinese Writing
A national museum devoted to writing, opened in 2009 in Anyang, the city where the Shang oracle bones were found. Its main building takes the shape of an ancient character for 'city wall' and is decorated with Shang-style bronze motifs. The permanent exhibition traces the origin and evolution of Chinese characters against the world's writing systems and the scripts of China's minority peoples, with a gallery on the discovery and study of the oracle bones.
