About Zhaohua Ancient Town
A small walled town where the Bailong River meets the Jialing, known in antiquity as Jiameng; after the Qin conquered Shu and Ba in 316 BC they set up a county here, and the town calls itself the first county seat in Sichuan. Inside the gates are flagstone lanes of old houses and the Longmen Academy, and nearby is the tomb of Fei Yi, one of the leading ministers of the Three Kingdoms state of Shu Han.
