About Tang West Market
A Tang-style shopping and cultural quarter built in the 2000s on the site of the West Market, the international market of Tang-dynasty Chang'an. Its Tang West Market Museum, opened in 2010, shows excavated remains of the market's crossroads, cart ruts, a stone bridge, shop foundations and drains where they were found, with galleries on Silk Road trade drawn from a collection of more than 20,000 objects.
