About Jiming Mountain
An isolated peak of about 1,100 m on the east side of Xiahuayuan, nicknamed the 'flying peak' because it stands alone above the Yang River valley, within a scenic area of about 17.5 sq km. A stepped path climbs past rebuilt Buddhist and folk temples, including the 33 m Linji Light Pagoda and the Liao-founded Yongning Temple, to the summit, where a 20 m stone footbridge across a cliff is a provincial heritage site. Its temple fair in the fourth lunar month draws worshippers and visitors.
