About Qinghua Rainbow Bridge

A covered beam bridge across the Le'an River at Qinghua, about 140 m long on four stone piers with five openings, with a timber gallery along the deck and a shrine to Yu the Great on one pier. Records date it to the Song dynasty or to the Qianlong reign of the Qing, and it takes its name from a line by Li Bai; it was nationally listed in 2006. Floods in July 2020 destroyed part of the deck and gallery between the east approach and the second pier, and in March 2026 the provincial culture and tourism department reported that emergency repairs had been carried out.
