About Zunsheng Temple
A hillside temple of seven courtyards on the old southern route to Mount Wutai, founded in the Tang dynasty and given its present layout in the Republican period. The courtyards rise from the Hall of Heavenly Kings to a pagoda at the top, and the east courtyard has two stone sutra pillars, one dated 1026 and one a Republican-era copy. Much of the temple was rebuilt from 1986 after damage in the Cultural Revolution.
