About Tianjin North Railway Station

A railway station opened in 1903 as Xinkaihe station, built on the initiative of Yuan Shikai, then governor-general of Zhili. The wooden station building and a steel footbridge across the platforms, both from 1903, survive in their early twentieth-century form, and the station is often used as a film location. It is still a working station, with regional trains to Jizhou.
