About Man Mo Temple, Tai Po

Built with donations from the Tsat Yeuk community and opened in 1892, this temple served as a meeting, arbitration and worship place for the market town of Tai Wo. Man Cheong, god of literature, and Mo Tai, god of martial arts, are enshrined on a carved timber altar in the rear hall. The two-hall grey-brick building has plaster mouldings on its ridges and facade, and a finely made wooden fascia board above the entrance.
