About Park Hotel
An Art Deco tower on Nanjing Road West, designed by Ladislav Hudec and completed in 1934 for the Joint Savings Society, which remained Shanghai's tallest building until the 1980s and is the origin point of the city's survey coordinate grid. It is still a working hotel, so visitors see the dark-brick and black-granite exterior and the restored Art Deco lobby.
