About Baomo Garden

Baomo Garden in Zini village, Shawan, began as a Qing shrine to the Song official Bao Zheng, was destroyed in the 1950s and has been rebuilt since 1995 into a large garden in Lingnan style. Its ponds, bridges and halls are decorated with carved brick, stone and wood, and it holds a long porcelain relief copying the scroll 'Along the River during the Qingming Festival' and the collection hall of the donor Zhao Tailai. The neighbouring Nanyue Yuan is a sister garden.
