About Nanxiang Old Town

An old market town known as the home of xiaolongbao soup dumplings, whose restored old streets centre on the Twin Pagodas, a pair of small Five Dynasties–Northern Song brick pagodas imitating timber buildings that face each other across a street. In front of them are two ancient wells excavated during the street renovation that began in 2008, and nearby is Liuyun Chan Temple, still widely called Yunxiang Temple, rebuilt in 1998–2004 on the site of the old Nanxiang Temple.
