About Patane Night Watch House
A small traditional Cantonese house on Rua da Palmeira in the old Patane quarter, once home to a night watchman and his family and the only night watch house left in Macau. It has single-storey rooms around a courtyard, a stone room and a water alley, with painted murals inside. Restored and opened in 2015, it now holds a small exhibition of photographs, objects and illustrations on the night-watch trade.
