About Montanha Russa Garden
A small hillside park laid out in a romantic style in the late 19th century in the north-east of the peninsula, between Mong-Há Hill and Dona Maria II Hill. A spiral path winds up to the top, which gives the park its Chinese name, and the hill holds tropical and European trees labelled in Latin and Chinese, secluded benches and a children's playground. It is a quiet retreat in a crowded part of the city.
How to get to Montanha Russa Garden
Between Estrada da Bela Vista and Estrada de Ferreira do Amaral, about 1.7 km north-east of Senado Square, with a bus stop named after the park.
