About Handover Gifts Museum of Macau
A three-storey museum on Avenida Xian Xing Hai, next to the Macau Museum of Art, designed by the architect Vicente Bravo and opened in December 2004 to commemorate the handover of Macau at the end of 1999. The main gallery shows the gifts presented to Macau at the handover by the State Council, the provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and Hong Kong, together with an inscription for Macau by Jiang Zemin, the former president. A second gallery stages temporary exhibitions, and a third is used by the Education and Youth Development Bureau for youth education.
