About Dr. Carlos d'Assumpção Park
A waterfront park in the Nam Van reclaimed area, opened in 1996 and named after the well-known Macanese Dr Carlos d'Assumpção. A Portuguese-pavement avenue lined with palms runs through lawns, arbours, ornamental ponds and fountains, past a children's playground. At its seaward end the park reaches the bronze Kun Iam statue on its island, and a promenade looks over the Outer Harbour, the bridges and Taipa.
