About Xiufeng Scenic Area

A scenic area at the southern foot of Mount Lushan, centred on Longtan pool and the site of Xiufeng Temple, which was founded under the Southern Tang. The rock faces and steles carry inscriptions from the Tang dynasty to the Republic, among them the Tang Zhongxing Stele by Yan Zhenqing, of which three of the four original stones survive, and a stele by Wang Yangming. Its waterfalls and peaks are linked with Li Bai's poem on viewing a waterfall on Mount Lushan.
