About Dabuzishan Qin Royal Cemetery
On the hills above the Western Han River east of Li County town lies the Dabuzishan cemetery of the early Qin lords at Xichui, the Qin people's first centre, with the earliest tombs of Qin rulers yet excavated. The tombs were heavily looted in the late 1980s and early 1990s and many objects went abroad; rescue excavations began in 1994, and the finds are shown in the Gansu Qin Culture Museum in Li County town. The site is on China's list of national archaeological park projects, and the county includes the Xichui cemetery in its visitor routes.
