About Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin Temple is a Taoist temple dedicated to Wong Tai Sin, a folk deity many worshippers ask for blessings and guidance, with shrines that also reflect Buddhist and Confucian traditions. Its buildings and courtyards follow the five elements of Chinese geomancy, with a Bronze Pavilion for metal, a Scripture Hall for wood, a fountain for water, the Yue Heung Pavilion for fire and an earth wall, and stalls in the grounds interpret kau cim fortune sticks. It is busiest around Lunar New Year, when worshippers queue overnight on New Year's Eve.

How to get to Wong Tai Sin Temple

A short walk from Wong Tai Sin MTR station, which the temple's website gives as about three minutes from Exit B2; the Yue Lao Hall inside has been closed for construction work since March 2025.
