About Former Mobil Oil Company Site, Jiujiang

A three-storey brick-and-concrete office building on the Yangtze waterfront in Xunyang District, built for the Standard Oil (Mobil) company, which opened a branch in Jiujiang's British concession in 1910. The southern two thirds dates from 1910 and a smaller northern part from 1918, when the Asiatic Petroleum Company added to it. It recalls Jiujiang's years as a Yangtze treaty port and was listed as a national site in 2006.
