About Bailuzhou Academy
An academy founded in 1241 by the prefect Jiang Wanli on Bailuzhou, an island in the Gan River in the middle of Ji'an, where Wen Tianxiang studied. It was rebuilt many times after floods and wars; the surviving halls, including Fengyue Tower and Yunzhang Pavilion, date from 1863, and a full restoration ran from 2013 to 2015. It later became a school and is now used for public lectures and study programmes.
