About Xiangshawan
Xiangshawan is a desert resort at the eastern end of the Kubuqi Desert in Dalad Banner, known for dunes whose sand makes a humming sound when it slides. Visitors can slide down the dunes, ride camels, cross the sand by cable car or off-road vehicle, play at a desert water park and stay at resort 'islands' with hotels and tented camps, and Mongolian song-and-dance shows are staged. It is a heavily developed, family-oriented attraction that suits a day trip from Baotou or Ordos.
