By train
7 direct high-speed trains a day run from Chengdu East to Zhangjiajie West, between 08:00 and 17:13. The fastest, G2445, takes 3 h 58 min, and a standard-class seat is ¥398. Coming back, 7 trains a day, the fastest 3 h 57 min (G2446, 07:30 to 15:54).
Chengdu: Tianfu (TFU), about 50 km south-east, is the busier airport; Shuangliu (CTU) is closer in, and Trip.com's CTU city code covers both. Zhangjiajie: The Forest Park gate and Wulingyuan are about 45 minutes from the city by road.
By air
