About Liang Ancestral Hall, Zhengding

A late-Ming ancestral hall of the Liang family, one of Zhengding's leading official families, on Yanzhao South Street in the old town. The family rose with Liang Menglong, a Ming minister of war and later of personnel, and the hall and its gateway are one of only two surviving buildings of the family's former estates. The five-bay hall with a flush-gable roof was taken down and rebuilt in 1997–98, and its interior is no longer used for the family tablets.
