About Wangdian Soviet-Style Granaries
A group of fourteen cylindrical concrete grain silos with six-sided tiled roofs, built in the 1950s with Soviet advice beside the Changshui canal in Wangdian town to store grain for the local rice mill. Each silo is 12 m across and 8.15 m high, set in three staggered rows; left idle after the mill was restructured in 2002, the compound was tidied up in the late 2010s and one of its side buildings became a collectors' market in 2023.
