About Xingguo Revolutionary Sites

Five sites in and around Xingguo county town record the county's part in the Jiangxi Soviet of 1929–33. They are the Lianjiang Academy of 1718, where a land-revolution cadre training class was run in 1929; the former Jiangxi Military District headquarters with its reviewing stand; the Central Arsenal site group at Guantian; the hall where the first Jiangxi workers', peasants' and soldiers' congress met in May 1932; and Changgang village, where a survey of the township was made in 1933.
