About Rock Carvings at Wong Chuk Hang

Three groups of spiral and meandering patterns, which look like stylised animal eyes, are carved into the rock beside a stream at Wong Chuk Hang. Unlike most rock carvings in Hong Kong, which are on the coast, these stand at least a kilometre from the sea, though they still overlook the water of the stream. They were declared monuments in 1984.
