About Lin Fa Temple, Tai Hang
Lin Fa Temple, the Temple of Lotus, was probably built in 1863 for Kwun Yam, the goddess of mercy. It stands on a hill slope in Tai Hang, with a half-octagonal front hall on a granite arched terrace and a main hall built against an exposed boulder. The Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, which is on China's national list of intangible cultural heritage, is blessed here before its procession through the neighbourhood.
