About Ruicheng City God Temple

The city god temple of Ruicheng, known locally as the South Temple, a large group of old buildings in the middle of the county town. Its main hall dates from the Song dynasty and the forecourt pavilion from the Yuan, with the other halls from the Ming and Qing, so the compound shows about 800 years of building styles. A gallery of steles holds many stones from the Northern Wei onwards, including a Tang stele of 798.
