About Leung Ancestral Hall, Yuen Kong Tsuen

The Leung clan built this ancestral hall in Yuen Kong Tsuen, Pat Heung, about 200 years ago, after their ancestors moved to the New Territories from Dongguan in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is a typical two-hall, one-courtyard Qing vernacular building with a granite-block base and grey-brick walls, and the rear hall holds a wooden altar for the ancestral tablets. Fully restored in 2006, it is still used by the clan for traditional ceremonies and as a meeting place.
