About Mangshi Dai Ancient Town
A Dai-style quarter built from 2019 on a hillside on the east side of central Mangshi and opened in 2020, with the Menghuan Palace, a hall styled on Dai Buddhist temple architecture, and lanes of restaurants, craft and costume shops and a hotel. It is busiest in the evening, when the night-market street fills with food stalls and street performers. It is a modern development rather than a historic town.
How to get to Mangshi Dai Ancient Town
On the eastern side of central Mangshi, a short taxi ride from the centre and about 8 km from Dehong Mangshi airport.
