About Buildings at Nos. 89–95G, Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida
A row of early 20th-century neoclassical houses and schools in the Tap Seac district, built on land drained from swamp in the late 19th century. Most are no longer homes: the Macau Central Library and the Archives of Macau, both in styles favoured by wealthy Macau families, stand in the row, together with Tap Seac Gallery, the House of Macau Literature and the Jao Tsung-I Academy. The buildings have been restored several times.
