About Yong'an Temple, Langzhong
A rural temple in the hills east of Langzhong, founded in the Tang, whose main hall was built in 1333 under the Yuan and is one of Sichuan's rare Yuan-era timber buildings. Interior columns were omitted to open up the hall, whose Yuan mural of the Eight Classes of Divine Beings was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution and later recreated from surviving photographs; the gate, Guanyin tower and side halls are Qing.
