About Former Residence of Liu Qingxia
The Kaifeng home of Liu Qingxia (1877–1922), a wealthy supporter of the Tongmenghui and of education, who funded revolutionaries and the Henan magazine published in Tokyo, founded Henan's first girls' school and in 1922 gave her family fortune to education. Built in 1880, the house is two parallel three-courtyard compounds with carved doorways, now a memorial museum with displays on her life and on the 1911 Revolution in Henan. The national listing also covers two of her family's courtyard houses in Weishi county town.
