About Yellow River Stone Forest

A national geopark on a bend of the Yellow River in Jingtai, where conglomerate beds about 2.1 million years old have been eroded into pillars and spires mostly 80–100 m tall, packed into some 10 km² of gullies. Visitors explore the Yinma Gorge and riverside viewpoints and can ride the river on traditional sheepskin rafts, and the cliffs have served as a backdrop for many Chinese films and TV dramas.

How to get to Yellow River Stone Forest

About two hours by road north-east of Lanzhou, or just over an hour from Jingtai town.
