About Xiangjilong Ming Houses
Two timber-framed Ming houses, Numbers 3 and 11 in Xiangjishang lane, built in the Chenghua reign (1465–87) in the old quarter around the Imperial Kiln site. Both face west and share one plan, with high end walls, fire-gables to the north and south, timber frames and a veranda; Number 11 is the larger, with about 455 square metres of floor space. They are part of the town-centre porcelain production centre, one of the five components of the Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites, inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2026.
