About Luokou Yellow River Railway Bridge
A steel truss railway bridge across the Yellow River at Luokou, built in 1909–12 by the German firm MAN for the Tianjin-Pukou line, with the largest spans of any railway bridge in China at the time. It was damaged in the wars of 1928, 1930 and 1937 and repaired each time, and became part of the Handan-Jinan railway in 2000. It is a landmark of the early railway age along the river.
