About Huanglongxi

A historic river town where the Luxi River joins the Jin River south of Chengdu, a stop on the river trade since the Han dynasty and one of China's listed historic towns. Cobbled lanes of mostly Qing-era timber houses lead to old wharves and temples such as Zhenjiang Temple and Gulong Temple, and the town is often used as a set for period films. Many houses are now souvenir shops, and it is very busy at weekends and holidays.
