About Dinglin Temple
A Buddhist temple halfway up a wooded hillside, with a two-storey gate pavilion, Leiyin Hall and Qifo Hall on its main axis. Leiyin Hall was rebuilt in 1317 and the gate pavilion has an octagonal caisson ceiling hung with thirteen carved lotus posts, while Dizang Hall keeps Ming murals of the ten kings of hell dated 1525. Two old tree peonies in the east courtyard flower in spring, around April.
