About Liudingshan Cultural Tourism Area
Liudingshan is a large cultural tourism area on the southern edge of Dunhua, laid out around a lake. Its centrepiece is the Zhengjue Buddhist temple, whose halls climb the hillside in 20 terraces to a culture and art museum at the top with views over the town, and there is also a park on the Qing founding ancestors with a museum and a shrine hall. The grounds hold the Liudingshan tombs, a Bohai-period (698–926) cemetery of more than 80 stone-chamber and earth-mound tombs that has been a national heritage unit since 1961.
